First Weekend is a new series of one-night-only events held on the first Thu/Fri/Sat of each month, including storytelling nights, short play festivals, mini-film festivals, and more! Each weekend will have a different theme—the theme for October’s First Weekend events is ‘Alien.’

Brass Monkey Theater Club is an ongoing series of live ‘cold read’ performances of new 10-minute plays. October’s performance will be held at 9pm (following the Downtown Art Walk) and will feature cold readings of short plays related to the weekend’s theme of ‘Alien,’ each of which will be cast on the spot by a random draw from the participating actors.
