A ten-day exhibit of visual arts and one evening of live performances, showcasing local and regional artists who are exploring the intertwined issues of threats to the Salish Sea, climate change, and alternative futures.
Stand & Resist: Visual Arts Exhibit
What: From flyers to banners, performance to protest, totem poles to puppets, artists have helped residents of the Salish Sea grapple with the complexities of fossil fuel projects and stand in resistance.
Where: Studio Theater at Center for the Arts
When: Wednesday, March 29th to Friday, April 7th.

Art Walk Reception: Fri, Apr 7, 4pm–10pm
Stand & Resist: Live Performance
What: Two-hour live performance followed by a reception, featuring regional and indigenous artists in an evening of poetry, music, and essay.
Where: Whatcom Museum‘s Rotunda Room in the Old City Hall, 121 Prospect St, Bellingham, WA.
When: Wednesday, March 29th at 7:00pm.

As part of the Stand & Resist celebration, we’ll also be bringing attention to current threats to the Salish Sea, how you can get involved, and how we can work together creatively to protect our home.
