This summer we relaunch iDiOM Theater’s HOTBOX series, in which a brand-new full-length play is written, rehearsed and performed, page to stage, in just seven days!

Local playwright Sean Murphy was given the theme from the first night of last weekend’s 48-Hour Theater Festival — ‘The House of the Rising Sisters’ — and two days later delivered a new play called THE SIDER, featuring a canary, a minotaur, and… cat videos?

This week, director Glenn Hergenhahn-Zhao and an intrepid cast, featuring locals Dawn Hunter, Michael Brannan, Riley Sophia Penaluna, Megan Galley, and Kathy Barefoot-Soles, are hard at work memorizing, rehearsing, and costuming this new play, which will be performed two nights only, this Friday and Saturday!

Part of our newly added series of summer shows — tickets just $1 for CENTER Members!
