2018 Directing Workshop
Sun, August 12, 2018 @ 10:00 am–3:00 pm
A four-weekend workshop in directing for the stage, taught by CENTER Artistic Director, Glenn Hergenhahn-Zhao.
This 20-hour comprehensive class in directing, focused on working with actors, is ideal for directors, playwrights, or actors with prior theater experience.
Each workshop weekend will focus on the various aspects of being a director and offer opportunities for hands-on learning.
For those wanting to delve deeper, each weekend will also include optional but recommended theater “lab” hours where students will get to watch and participate in the process of mounting full-length and short plays, working with actors, working in condensed rehearsal schedules, the casting process, and being an “outside eye” for another director’s process for one of iDiOM’s mainstage productions.
