Charlie Porter Quintet: CD Release Show!

Album release concert! Porter’s new album is titled Immigration Nation and it features a musical storyline paying tribute to our rich immigrant heritage in the United States. It is being released on Origin Records.
Internationally acclaimed, multiple award-winning jazz trumpeter and composer Charlie Porter relocated to the PNW from NYC where he played with, among many others, Paquito D’Rivera, Charli Persip, Joe Zawinul, David Burger’s Sultans of Swing and the Mingus Big Band. Wynton Marsalis describes Charlie’s playing as “fiery and intelligent.” He last played at WJMAC with the Nick Biello Sextet.
Porter is an artist not to be missed.

Admission: $15 general, $5 students, WJMAC members FREE
