Dyo Festival: THE LOVER and THE DUMB WAITER, two plays by Harold Pinter
Thu, March 21 @ 7:30 pm
An event every week that begins at 7:30pm on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, repeating until Sat, March 30, 2019
Our five-weekend celebration of two-actor performances continues and concludes with The Lover and The Dumb Waiter, a pair of plays by Harold Pinter (The Birthday Party, Betrayal).
Two of the early one-acts by one of the most influential British playwrights of the twentieth century that helped to broaden the course of theatrical expression, these two taut comedic dramas still pack the same punch as when first written.
Thrillingly sexy with an air of mystery, The Lover will keep you on the edge of your seat as the worlds of fantasy and reality collide. With The Dumb Waiter’s great humor, absurdity and wit, the “comedy of menace” twists to an unexpected conclusion. A rare and welcome treat for the theater-lover.
