Playwriting Class: Full-Length Plays

Glenn Hergenhahn-Zhao — acclaimed playwright, director, and founder of iDiOM Theater — is offering two separate six-month playwriting courses at Center for the Arts this year. FULL-LENGTH PLAYS and SOLO PLAYS will each be offered as six-month, once-a-month courses.

Glenn’s FULL-LENGTH PLAYS class focuses on completing a full-length work for the stage. Classes will be held one Saturday each month, January through June 2020.
Prior experience with playwriting or one of Glenn’s earlier Intro to Playwriting classes is helpful, but not required. Students will complete writing outside of class, and receive feedback from their fellow students as well as the instructor.

- Outlining
- Dramatic elements
- Dialogue
- Story wheels
- Expansive endings
- Glenn’s recommended reading list of plays
- Page targets to keep your projects on track
