Sat, February 8, 2020 @ 1:00 pm

Glenn’s SOLO PLAYS class focuses on completing a full-length work for one actor. Classes will be held one Saturday approximately once every four weeks, February through June 2020 (see exact dates below).

Prior experience with playwriting or one of Glenn’s earlier Intro to Playwriting classes is helpful, but not required. Students will complete writing outside of class, and receive feedback from their fellow students as well as the instructor.

iDiOM Theater has been home to many solo performances over the years: Gringo, Gringo, Gringo and King of Sparta (both by the instructor), One-Man Wimbledon by Mike Matthieu, Too Beautiful by Carolyn McCarthy, Red Earth and Bukowski-Micheline by Vince Balestri, Eve performed by Melissa Brown. Solo plays are one of our favorite forms for the stage.

Whether you are writing for yourself or another actor, we will go over solo plays from concept to stage-ready scripts in six months.
