Dragon Tales Productions Brings Three New Plays to Bellingham
Staged Readings are May 23-25 in the Studio Theater

Here is a showcase for the ingenuity, creativity, and resourcefulness of playwrights in our own community. Three new, never-before-staged plays are being offered at the Center for the Arts, May 23, 24, and 25th (in the Studio Theater at 7:30 pm).

Thu, May 23: Down in the Valley, by Judith Owens Lancaster
Fri, May 24: The Sandbox, by Dana Reed Crediford
Sat, May 25: I 9021.39.000 You, by Michael R. Kenoyer

Admission is $10 for each play — $25 for all three (cash and check at the box office only)

Playwrights include Dana Reed Crediford and Mikael R. Kenoyer, plus our own Judith Owens Lancaster. The casts feature well-known local players.

Dragon Tales Productions was founded by Ms. Owens Lancaster to inspire, encourage, and support emerging playwrights. The plays offered this month are the third in her efforts to bring original theater to our community. It is her hope that they will inspire even more new playwrights to step forward and give us (with her offer of help) their new creations as well.

Ms. Owens Lancaster is a native of Bellingham who lived in New York City for thirty years, where she pursued a career in the performing arts as a singer and actress. Now retired and living back in her home town, she enjoys writing and directing for the theater. She is the recipient of the 2016 Mayor’s Award for Contributions to the Performing Arts in Bellingham.
