Master Vermont storyteller/monologist (by way of Queens, NY) Dennis McSorley’s new work Typhoon Of Tenderness traces a life from brightness and success to despair and darkness. Dennis will take you on a journey he knows all too well. Musician Steve Goldberg’s sound score adds to the mood and emotions traced.

Told with humor and deep truth, the story bears witness to the joys, eventual pain, and finally, the possibility of redemption.

A master storyteller and monologist, Dennis has performed his original work at the United Solo Festival, the Prague Fringe Festival, the SaraSolo Festival, the Burlington Fringe Festival, and the Grange Hall Cultural Center. His second solo piece, “Typhoon of Tenderness”, was awarded the Excellence in Performance nomination in the 2016 Prague Fringe Festival and the Outstanding Drama Award at the 2019 SaraSolo Festival. He continues to be part of storytelling venues in Vermont – The Moth, Extempo VT, The Risk, and Storytelling Vermont are regular stages to hear his stories. He’s also performed original material in shorter and longer form of story at the Off Center Burlington Fringe Festival in their Very “X-Xmas” shows, and was selected for the 2017 Spring Artist Showcase, performing “Box Of Squirrels”, his most recent solo piece.
