Thu, November 30, 2017 @ 7:30 pm

|Recurring Event (See all)

An event every day that begins at 9:00 pm, repeating until Fri, December 1, 2017

Our monthly series of one-night-only, community-building events on Art Walk weekends continues this month with another edition of Breaking Bread, a community storytelling showcase, and Brass Monkey Theater Club, an evening of short plays performed ‘cold’ by randomly-drawn actors.

BREAKING BREAD: true stories on the theme ‘Gray Area’ told by community members (in the vein of The Moth or This American Life). Hosted and curated by Julia Lafortune, and featuring food donated by Avenue Bread. Thursday, Nov 30, 7:30pm.

BRASS MONKEY THEATER CLUB: short plays on the theme ‘The End of the World,’ performed script-in-hand by a cast of randomly-drawn actors: playwrights and actors may sign up on the evening. Hosted by Glenn Hergenhahn-Zhao. Friday, Dec 1, 9:00pm, following the Downtown Art Walk.
